Wednesday April 29th> Activities

Good Morning my dear Toddlers!

Today is Wacky Wednesday!!! I can't wait to see you all with you "Crazy Hat" at 1:30 p.m. in our weekly group meeting!

Small Group Activity: Number tunnels
Approximate Time: 10 minutes

(There are Nos. written on the curve)
Materials Needed:
Small toy cars, or a small ball
Arched papers taped on the floor as shown in the picture
Write numbers on top of the arch
Vocabulary: under, 1, 2, 3,

How to start the activity:
Tell your child that you are going to push cars under tunnels. Demonstrate and say that you will pass your car under tunnel No. 1 and show your child No.1.  Show your child the other numbers.
What to do in the middle:
Continue supporting your child to identify the numbers by mentioning the tunnel no. to pass the car under.
Extension:
Have cut out numbers of 4 - 6 and ask your child what number comes after no.3.  Make the tunnels and continue with the game
How to finish the activity:
Give the child a 5 minutes warning.
Tell your child you’ll have one more turn and it will be time to go to the next part of the day.
